Get To Know Roni

The possibilities within are endless; it’s truly a firm where anyone who is passionate can find opportunity.

Why I was looking for an environment that provided intellectual stimulation and fast-paced action. Before, I worked in a neuroscience lab, focusing on sex differences in the brain; while the topic was fascinating, I felt isolated from the world. The rhythm was too slow and there were so many barriers to action. I received an invitation to a recruiting event at—a firm I hadn’t heard of previously—and the rest is history.

I joined because I wanted more depth and was offered an opportunity to become an expert quickly. In addition, the working relationships I form are deep as I work with the same internal team for long periods and my clients know I’m always available as an expert in my field. Since joining, I've had four different roles across ventures, specializing in Talent and Organizational design solutions and products. Product design and management is not something I would ever have expected in my career as a Neuroscience student, but I love it!

Why do I stay? The people I work with are simply the best of the best. I have flexibility and balance in my life—I’m doing exciting work that’s at the leading edge of consulting. I’m also a mom, an avid indoor cyclist, and a singer (I recorded a few songs last year but they aren’t on YouTube). I’m a feminist and have taught psychobiology of gender at the university level.

I’ve also had some very rewarding experiences at, including a project where I worked with a European bank on the human resources arm of the organization. I introduced the HR executives to a vision of the future of their HR function. The chief HR officer told me she was grateful that I “took them into the work of analytics.” Personally, I had the opportunity to do a 1-year rotation with my family from Israel to the USA, spending half a year in Boston and half a year in San-Francisco, gaining a global experience for myself and my family.

If you’re considering, I’d advise you to figure out what you are excited about and go from there. The possibilities within are endless; it’s truly a firm where anyone who is passionate can find opportunity.
